Living like a dying ghost, upon the graveyard of romance
You're holding on to heartache now, with pale, frost-covered hands
Your picture perfect smile, becomes a photogenic lie
A costume worn in silence for the people passing by

As fluorescent, new born stars illuminate the sky
I can see an angels soul revived inside your eyes
A sea of restless static as your voice floats through the air
I'm almost forced to hold my breath, when caught inside your stare

One day, half an arms length away
You will mean the world to me
Would it be so wrong if I
Decided I should stay?

Tonight, your deepest, depth-less thoughts exhales the loneliest of dreams
As the shallow echo of your heartbeat drowns my underwater screams
Now sinking in the silence of your subtle, foreign tongue
I'll take a breath of shelter, hide it in a punctured lung

And in a mellow moment, your shadow will withdraw
Into the timeless distance, trace the beauty of a flaw
You're the portrait of perfection, caught inside a broken frame
And now this sky will hold the tombstone, of the girl without a name

One day, half an arms length away
You will mean the world to me
That's something I need you to believe
Now would it be so wrong if I
Decided I should....leave?
