Queen Of Affection

She walks on solid air
Past the crowd of labeled slaves
Picking petty insults from her back
Leaving flowers on their hollow graves

Her eyes still penetrates
The thickest skin a man could wear
She holds her silent breath at night
And exhales the fumes of cold despair

Coloured in a sunset
Her soul reflects perfection
Flickering inside her eyes
She's the queen of my affection

I can paint her voice
In a moment of silence
I can feel her sorrow
Bleeding from her smile
And I will always see her there
Standing all alone
In the middle of a crowd
While wearing the crown
Of shattered crimson stone

We'll embrace the lonely songs
Sung by broken hearts in monotone
We'll drown our sorrows in pale tears
And mend each others aching bones

We can watch the green grass grow
And store it in a memory
We'll listen to the raindrops fall
And talk about how the weather used to be

And we could die in harmony
To the sound of dancing trees
Then live forever, happily
Within our secret memories

I can paint her voice
In a moment of silence
I can feel her sorrow
Bleeding from her smile
And I will always see her there
Standing all alone
In the middle of a crowd
While wearing the crown
Of shattered crimson stone
